Nursery

Nursery care is provided for children 2 years of age and younger on Sundays. There is at least one adult caregiver per Sunday and at least one youth helper.

The Nursery room is available for parents and little ones, to the left off the lobby. Nursing moms are welcome anytime - this room has comfy chairs, a glider, a crib, and a diaper-changing area.

Paging System
Upon checking in your child with an identification sticker, you will keep the parent’s slip with a number for your child. That number will be shown on the screen in the worship space to alert you during the service if your child needs you.

Nursery Tips:

  • The more consistently your child is involved in the nursery, the more comfortable he/she will feel.
  • It is common for babies to cry immediately after parents leave, but they usually calm down. We will not let your baby cry longer than 5-10 minutes without informing you.
  • You can inform the Nursery caregiver of any special instructions, allergies, feeding schedules, naptimes, whether or not you’d like us to change your child’s diaper, etc on the identification sticker at the entrance of the Children’s Wing. Please fill this out each week so that we can provide the best care possible for your child.
  • For your child’s safety, we only release him/her to the authorized parent returning the parent’s slip matching the child’s identification sticker.

Please remember, we cannot admit any sick child into the nursery.

SAFETY:

Volunteers wash toys regularly. They are trained to wash their hands after diaper changing and after touching any body fluids on a child. Care is taken to look for developmental needs of babies so they know their ability to sit up or not, how competent they are at standing and pulling up, etc.

We hope your little one has a fun time with our community this year and we encourage you to talk to us if you ever have any questions or ideas.
