Boys & Girls Club Info Night, Mar. 9
What could the Boys & Girls Club do for our community? Attend the Club Development Information Night on Tuesday, March 9, 7:00pm at the Strathmore Travelodge to hear more.
A group of Hope members has joined forces with others in the community to express interest in bringing a Boys & Girls Club to Strathmore. Isa Sinclair, Pastor Roger Gilbert, Ryan Tongs and Allison Tuck have been meeting with Pastor Dawn Nelson and Shannon Zieman over the past six months to research the steps involved in creating a club focused on the needs of youth in our community.
A community wide information night will be held Tuesday, March 9, 7:00 pm, at the Strathmore Travelodge to discuss the progress and steps necessary to create a club in the Strathmore area. The significant tasks of assessing the needs of our community, networking with local leaders, incorporating as an organization and designing programs are currently being undertaken. Typically this is a 12 - 24 month process. If you are interested in helping, please contact one of the people mentioned above.
Our hope is a Boys & Girls Club will provide a safe, supportive place where children and youth can experience new opportunities, overcome barriers, build positive relationships and develop confidence and skills for life.
