New friends joined Hope’s team while working at the clinic in 2009.

Church Food Program

The church food program that Hope supports had a little celebration for the beneficiaries on December 31. They shared a meal together at the University cafeteria, and afterwords were given their regular food package of rice and oil, and a special addition - meat! The committee decided to save a portion of the funds that your church sent each month last year to give this party and be able to buy some meat at the end of the year to celebrate. I’m attaching some pictures from the event. I want to thank you on behalf of the committee and the recipients for your continued support. - Jenelle, Haiti missionary

Eben-ezer Clinic, Dr. Manno and Haut-Limbe, Haiti

The people of Haiti are our neighbors.  From God’s perspective our lives are intricately connected and how we choose to live impacts them.

The Evangelical Covenant Church of Canada believes that God is on a mission and that everything it does is part of this great story of God loving and reconciling people to himself.  Part of God’s work is a work of eliminating poverty and sickness.  God is doing this work all over the world and seeks coworkers to be part of his helping team.

The Eben-ezer Medical Clinic at Haut-Limbe, Haiti, is one such place where God is at work.  The medical clinic, in partnership with the local Boy Scouts and Dr. Emmanuel Maureus (Dr. Manno), is providing Christ centered medical care to the people of that community.

The clinic in Limbe is a new partnership for the Evangelical Covenant Church of Canada.  Through our partnership we believe we can help empower a community to continue to provide medical intervention.

There are several ways that people can be involved:

Join a team that works at the clinic or consider sending a team from your own community.  For more information about a missions trip to Haiti contact our church office.

If you have expertise in the area of medicine, nursing, project management, accounting, lab services, community health care, or construction consider using your expertise to train and equip young people in the community of Limbe.

Give a financial gift to the Haiti medical clinic fund.  This fund is used for five purposes:

  1. supplementing staff salaries;
  2. pharmacy and lab needs;
  3. clinic building projects;
  4. subsidies for poor families;
  5. training resources.

Financial gifts can be given to Hope Community or online Evangelical Covenant Church of Canada.  Please make a note on your check or online that it is for the Haiti clinic fund.
