We also have the privilege of giving to and partnering with individuals and organizations all over the world who are bringing help and hope to people who need it most. Give on Sundays
Attend our weekend service and make a donation in person during the service using of the giving envelopes we provide. This ensures you get your charitable donations receipt at year end as well as informs us of how you would like your gift allocated.
E-Transfer
You can e-transfer funds whenever you like, as many times as you like. Please make a note on your e-transfer that the funds are for “tithe” or “donation”. If you’d like the funds to go to a something specific, please make a note. E-transfers can be sent to: finance@hope-community.ca
On Site Debit or Credit Card
A card terminal is located at the Welcome Center in the Foyer where you can donate using your debit or credit card.
Set up Recurring Giving
You can easily set up recurring monthly giving from your credit card through Canada Helps.
Pre-Authorized Debit
You can authorize monthly withdrawals from your bank account. Please complete the Contribution Enrollment Form and either drop it off at the church or email it to office@hope-community.ca
Donate stocks/securities
There are significant tax savings and benefits to donating stock to charities. If you would like to donate stock to HOPE, please contact the office or use HOPE’s Canada Helps portal.

Did you know?
- The vast majority of our funding comes from donations. We do not receive government funding for what we do. As a part of our weekly gathering, we take an offering where we practice our value of open-handedly giving back those things God has given us (our time, talent, treasure… our very lives). Thank you for your support.
- That through tax receipts for your donations you can receive up to 50% back when you file your tax return.
- Alberta has the most generous charitable tax credit program in Canada. Currently donors receive credit for fully 50% of donations beyond $200. So if you decide to sign up for a monthly contribution of $200 you would receive an $1180 credit on your taxes. These credits can be carried forward for up to 5 years. In addition, the federal government has created a First-Time Donor Super Credit that provides an additional 25% on the first $1000 donated. This means that if you have never donated to charity before and sign up for a $100/month deduction, you would actually receive an $830 credit on your taxes.
- Hope Community’s spending is limited to approved programs and projects as outlined and approved in our annual budget. Contributions designated to approved line items will be used as directed with the understanding that once needs have been met, or for any reason cannot be completed as determined by the Church Council, remaining funds will be allocated where most needed. Hope’s leadership will always do their best to honour and respect the intention of a gift and the giver.
