Connecting Points
Because God made us for one another, it makes sense that we find our belonging as we give of ourselves. As Hope Community Covenant Church, we are just one of the signposts in God’s Kingdom, and one of the corners of the larger Church. As we connect with one another here in Strathmore, we are joining with all Jesus followers to live for the sake of the world.
Below are some more venues for connecting with one another at Hope. This entire Community section of the website probably isn’t complete since God is always on the move and working among us, but hopefully these pages give you an idea of what goes on in our community and how you can connect with us.
All Church Potlucks
Once in a while we all get together to eat! Usually on a Sunday morning after the second service, we roll out tables in the worship space and dig in.
Fifty Plus
50+ seeks to provide fellowship opportunities and social events for adults fifty and older, in an informal manner, that will enable us to get to know each other and our Lord better. (Chuck & Karen Bayley)
Bottom Drawer
This group creates a welcoming space for women to come together in fellowship and have the opportunity to complete any personal project. Food and coffee are a bonus! (Yvonne Huse)
20-Somethings
From potlucks on Sunday afternoons in the past, to weekly gatherings at the Station to talk about God and life, our young adults get together to deepen relationships with one another and with Jesus.
Newcomer’s Lunch
Every couple of months our pastors host a lunch after church for those who are new to our community. Fill out a blue card (from the Welcome Table or under the seats) with your info and an invitation will arrive in the mail when the next lunch comes around.
