Baptism

Baptism is a public act that at once symbolizes and proclaims an individual’s union with God through Christ’s death and resurrection. If you are a follower of Jesus and have not yet been baptized, please consider taking this step of obedience and faith. For parents baptizing an infant, this act proclaims Christ’s grace present in behalf of the child and on the covenant affirmation made by parents and the congregation.

As a Covenant church, Hope Community practices both infant and believer baptism. Baby dedication is also practiced.

Hope offers classes in preparation for baptism occasionally throughout the year, with community baptism services following for those who decide it is time. If you are considering baptism or have questions contact one of our pastors
